Cuisine



For international  cuisine, there are lot of restaurants for everyone's taste and wallet. Everything from cafeterias and tapas bars and low cost beach menu's to excellent (but cost-effective) gourmet restaurants. As with most of this region, fish, meat and traditional rice dishes are what you will find most on the Spanish menu. .

Eating out in Albir you can enjoy the flavours of the sea, together with the magnificent rice and noodles dishes, traditional to this region. Albir has more than 100 international restaurants catering to every taste. In city of Altea, and at the sea boulevard connecting the cities, there are lot of  restaurants more for everyone's to enjoy their culinary favourites. 

Golf

Golf fans have a driving range at 1.5 km in Albir, and public 2x18 holes at Benidorm 8km, and 1x9 holes in Altea-Vella 8-10 km. Alicante and surroundings offers also several great golf courses.

Biking

Biking is very popular in the area. Bike routes are well marked, and various flat roads, cross-country routes, and mountain routes offer challenges for amateurs, advanced and professional bikers. There are several bike rental shops in the area, where you can find high quality bikes & equipment. There are also electric bikes available for those who like more relaxing biking around the city and the surroundings.

Kids

Several theme parks, zoo's and other children activities are very close to Altea, Albir and Benidorm: water-fun park Aqualandia and others, Mundomar & swimming with dolphins, Terra Mitica Theme park, Terra natura zoo and water park.

Excursions


Also fishing, sailing, canoeing, boating and all other water activities, as well as Jeep safaris and guided tours to vineyards are available. 

Eight kilometres from Altea, heading inland, is Polop, a small town surrounded by orchards and pine groves, which is highly recommended for those who seek peace, quiet and cool summer nights.

From the Via Crucis which presides over the town, you can obtain superb views of the surrounding valleys, which owe their present appearance to the work of the Morisco farmers from many years ago.
Benidorm makes a great day out with its eclectic collection of bars, playgrounds and beaches and ferry rides to the Balearics can be made from nearby Denia.

There are a lot of night clubs and Costa Blanca's largest Disco's and clubs for everyone in the area of Albir and Benidorm.
